St Michael’s Cricket Club has an active junior and youth cricket development programme that has consistently produced youngsters who have made their way through the ranks of the club. We attach great importance to the devlopment of junior cricket for the future of our club and believe that every boy and girl has the opportunity to become part of it.

St Michael’s youngsters are frequently selected for Dumfries & Galloway Regional teams to play against our rivals in Ayrshire, Glasgow South and Lanarkshire and a few have represented Scotland at various age levels in matches at home and abroad. But we are always looking for new young players of any ability level.

Practice Sessions

We provide both boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 16 the opportunity to practice and play cricket regardless of playing ability.

Schools’ Cricket Festival

Junior cricket practice will take place each Monday 6.00 – 8.00 p.m. at Kingholm Park from mid-April until the end of the summer holidays. Fees are £20 for a Junior Membership for the whole of the 2015 season or for non-members there is a £2 a session fee. All boys and girls will have the opportunity to develop their game by playing for one or more of our teams. St Michael’s are keen to welcome boys and girls into the club in 2016 whether they are experienced players or brand new to the game. Pupils from schools who were not part of our coaching programme are also most welcome to come and join in.
